Eurocores Programmes

EUROCORES is an efficient mechanism for collaboration in areas of basic research, at a European level and aims at:

• Maintaining the competitiveness of the European research system, 
• Confronting new scientific needs and priorities,
• Covering thematic areas which are not included in the Framework Programme of the EU, 
• Creating critical mass of European researchers with an interest in specific issues, and 
• Exploiting and coordinating the national research resources in thematic priorities by using a joint Calls for Proposals and evaluation system.

The Action «Participation in ESF» promotes and supports the participation of Cypriot research teams in the ESF’s European Collaborative Research Scheme (EUROCORES).
