Introduction

The European Science Foundation (ESF) is an association of 75  member organisations devoted to scientific research in 30 European countries. Established in 1974, with the purpose of cooridinatinating a wide range of pan-European scientific initiatives using flexible organisation structure means, which enable it respond quickly to new developments.

The participation of the research community of one country to the activities of ESF prerequisites the participation of institutions from this country at the Organization. The RPF, a member of ESF since 1.1.2002, pays an annual subscription which facilitates the participation of Cypriot researchers in ESF activities.
